Membership to The Hong Kong Jockey Club is divided into five categories with special privileges and services attached to each.

RACING MEMBER
	May use the Members' Enclosures at the Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses during all race meetings.
	May use the exclusive boxes in Members' Enclosures at both Racecourses.
	May purchase admission badges for their guests to use the Members's Enclosures at both Racecources during all race meetings.
	May apply for the ownership of racehorses, own and enter racehorses in races.
	May use all dining facilities of the Sha Tin Clubhouse during race meetings from two hours before the first race until half an hour after the last race.
	May use The Ladies Purse coffee shop of the Sha Tin Clubhouse for breakfast daily up to 11:00am.
	May use the Racing Club premises at the Happy Valley Racecourses on non-racedays.
	May enjoy the Beijing Clubhouse facilities under a reciprocal arrangement.
	May apply to join the Concession Schemes for the Sha Tin Clubhouse and/or the Beas River Country Club.
	- Sha Tin Clubhouse Concession Scheme: Joining the Scheme enables Members to use the Sha Tin Clubhouse facilities within a period of 12 consecutive months upon each enrolment. Within the 12 consecutive months, Members may use all facilities at the Sha Tin Clubhouse from Monday to Friday and on all racedays.
	- Beas River Concession Scheme: Joining the Scheme enables Members to use the Beas River Country Club facilities with a period of 12 consecutive months upon each enrolment. Within 12 consecutive months, Members may use all facilities at the Beas River Country Club on all days. - Joining both the Sha Tin and Beas River Concession Schemes: By joining both schemes, Racing Members will enjoy not only convenience of choices, but also a preferential rate of $18,000. 	The Club currently has a subscription base of about 7,200 Racing Members.

HOW DO I BECOME A RACING MEMBER OF THE JOCKEY CLUB?

	Candidates for Racing Membership must be proposed by a resident Honorary Steward, Honorary Voting Member or Voting Member of the Club. The application forms for Racing Membership are available from them. Please click here to view the latest list of Honorary Stewards, Honorary Voting Members and Voting Members of the Club.
	The application must be seconded by another resident Honorary Steward, Honorary Voting Member or Voting Member of the Club. Candidates must also be supported by three Club Members.
	Proposers, Seconders and Supporting Members must know their candidates well and be satisfied that the candidates are persons of integrity before agreeing to sponsor their candidates.
