The new JC Dollars Programme offers exclusive cash rewards to Members. Members can earn JC Dollars at designated Club outlets when using the HKJC Membership Mastercard. This is on top of the current Hang Seng Credit Card Cash Dollars ("Cash Dollars") earned, which means double rewards!

For details on eligible card types for the JC Dollars programme, please refer to Question 6.

2. When is the promotion start date of JC Dollars programme?

1 June 2013.

3. When will the JC Dollars programme end?

JC Dollars is a year round programme.

4. How do I earn JC Dollars?

For every HK$250 spent with the HKJC Membership Mastercard at designated Club outlets. Members can earn $1 JC Dollar plus $1 Cash Dollar.

5. How do I use JC Dollars?

Like Cash Dollars, accumulated JC Dollars on the HKJC Membership Mastercard account can be used as cash for transactions at designated Club outlets.Both the cumulative JC Dollars and Cash Dollars can be used as cash together in the same transaction at designated Club outlets, JC Dollars will be deducted first, and Cash Dollars will be deducted once all JC Dollars have been used up.

If Members have both JC Dollars and Cash Dollars in their account, JC Dollars will be deducted first, followed by Cash Dollars until the spending amount is fully settled. If the sum of the cumulative JC Dollars and Cash Dollars is not sufficient to settle the bill, the remaining amount will be charged to the HKJC Membership Mastercard. Members cannot select to use JC Dollars or Cash Dollars only and cannot designate a specific deduction amount or deduction sequence of JC Dollars or Cash Dollars.

Example: Assume the Member has a balance of $300 JC Dollars & Cash Dollars respectively in his Membership Card account:

7. What is the difference between JC Dollars and Cash Dollars?

JC Dollars:

Cash Dollars:

How to earn: Cash Dollars can be earned for every HK$250 spent with the Card both inside and outside of HKJC premises
How to use: Cash Dollars can be used as cash at over 5,200 designated Cash Dollars merchants throughout Hong Kong

8. Can JC Dollars be earned with all Hang Seng credit cards?

No. JC Dollars can only be earned with the HKJC Membership Platinum or Gold Mastercard. HKJC Membership Private Label Card and The Racing Membership Card are not eligible to participate in JC Dollars programme *.

9. Can I earn and use JC Dollars and Cash Dollars with my HKJC Membership Private Label Card Principal card / Supplementary card?

10. Can I accumulate several transactions to earn JC Dollars?

No. Members can earn JC Dollars for every single net transaction of HK$250 or above, the transaction below HK$250 will not be taken into account.

11. Can I use Cash Dollars at participating outlets of JC Dollars?

Yes.

12. Can I use JC Dollars at participating outlets of Cash Dollars?

Not all participating outlets of Cash Dollars can use JC Dollars. Please note Six Furlong, The Ladies' Purse and The Racing Club is the participating outlets for using Cash Dollars only.

13. How can I check my JC Dollars balance?

Members can enquire about their JC Dollars or Cash Dollars balance by:

1. Logon to Hang Seng Personal e-Banking (Enter "Account Overview" > Select the credit card account > Click "Credit Card Rewards Balance")

2. Enquire through swiping card on POS terminals at designated Club outlets

4. Refer to the sales slips issued by designated Club outlets after JC Dollars and Cash Dollars redemption

14. How long does it take for JC Dollars and Cash Dollars earned to be credited into my account?

JC Dollars will be credited to the Member's Mastercard account within six to eight weeks after the transaction. Cash Dollars earned will be credited to the account within one to two working days after the transaction.

15. When will the JC Dollars expire?

The validity of JC Dollars and Cash Dollars is up to 15 months.

16. Is there a minimum spending when using JC Dollars?

No.

17. Is there a limit on the amount of JC Dollars and/or Cash Dollars that can be used in one transaction?

No.

18. Can I choose to use JC Dollars only but not Cash Dollars?

No. If Members have both JC Dollars and Cash Dollars in their account, and the sum of cumulative JC Dollars is not sufficient to settle the bill, the remaining amount will be settled by Cash Dollars and Membership Mastercard.

19. Can I specify how much JC Dollars or Cash Dollars use in a transaction?

No. If Members use JC Dollars and Cash Dollars for transactions, the system will automatically deduct JC Dollars first, followed by Cash Dollars until the spending amount is fully settled. Members cannot designate a specific deduction amount or deduction sequence of JC Dollars or Cash Dollars.

20. Can I use JC Dollars outside of the Club?

No. JC Dollars can only be used at designated Club outlets.

21. Can I use JC Dollars concurrently with other promotions, e.g. the birthday programme?

Yes.

22. Can I use JC Dollars during a Michelin starred guest chef promotion?

Yes, when the Michelin starred guest chef promotion is held at the participating outlets of JC Dollars, Please refer to question 12

23. Can I use JC Dollars for takeaway food items?

Yes.

24. Can I convert my JC Dollars into Cash Dollars? Or vice versa?

No. JC Dollars and Cash Dollars are not interchangeable.

25. Can I exchange my JC Dollars for cash?

No. JC Dollars cannot be exchanged for cash.
