CHÂTEAU ANGÉLUS AND CHÂTEAU DAUGAY WINE DINNER
Stars of Saint-Émilion

Hubert de Boüard de Laforest took over the management of Château Angélus in 1985, steering the château to the coveted status of Premier Grand Cru Classé “A”, awarded in 2012.

He is consultant winemaker to Grand Cru Château Daugay, and this exceptional five-course wine dinner presented by Western Executive Chef Shaun Anthony will feature both wines from the Saint-Émilion AOC estates. Guest of honour Jean-Bernard Grenié, the owner and manager of Château Daugay and a director of Château Angélus, will introduce the wines, beginning with Drappier Carte d’Or Brut at the Champagne reception. Members and their guests will sample the 2010, 2005 and 1995 vintages of Château Daugay, followed by the 1993, 2006 and 2010 vintages of Angélus.

Of particular interest will be the wines from the spectacular vintage of 2010, arguably one of the greatest of this century so far, and the 2006 Angélus which is noted for its density, balance and elegant freshness. Early reservations are advised.
