CHÂTEAU PAPE CLÉMENT DINNER
A Historic Evening

With a history of vintages dating back to 1252, Château Pape Clément in the commune of Pessac is among the oldest of the Grand Crus of Bordeaux. It is owned by Bernard Magrez, one of the most charismatic personalities in the world of wine. His portfolio includes more than 40 notable wine estates, both in France and overseas.

Owned for much of its early history by the archbishops of Bordeaux, the château takes its name from Archbishop Bertrand de Goth, who became Pope under the name Clément V in 1305. Magrez has owned it since the 1980s, and under his stewardship the château’s reputation has soared to new heights – notably with the 2009 vintage of the white wine, Château Pape Clément Blanc, which Robert Parker awarded a perfect score of 100 points, and with the 2010 vintage, when the red grand vin also achieved a perfect score.

At the wine dinner, Members will taste some of the winery’s best vintages including white 2009 and red 1989, 2000 and 2009. They will be paired with the cuisine of Chef de Cuisine Cham Leong. Some of the wines will be available for Members to purchase. Early reservations are advised.
