ITALIAN WINE DINNER: VENETO REGION
A Taste of Veneto

The Veneto region produces some of Italy’s most internationally renowned easy drinking wines, but it is also an important area for the production of high quality vintages with real regional character. These wines are also superb when paired with food, as Members will learn at this event.

This special dinner at the Horseshoe Grill will feature Veneto wines from leading producer Ca’Rugate, established more than a century ago by the Tessari family.

Members will have the opportunity to taste three reds and two whites from Ca’Rugate, after preparing their palates with BiancaVigna’s Prosecco Superiore Brut sparkling wine from the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene.

The San Michele Soave Classico is a refreshing white with a characteristically floral bouquet. The Campo Lavei Valpolicella Superiore is an elegant, well balanced red with a twist of spice, while the Valpolicella Ripasso is a velvety concentrated wine with an abundance of red fruit.

The Amarone Della Valpolicella, made from specially dried grapes, has a rich, full-bodied complexity and a long, lingering finish.

The La Perlara Recioto di Soave is an intensely sweet perfumed dessert wine that will bring a memorable dinner to an unforgettable conclusion.

This is a rare opportunity to taste a selection of fine Italian wines across a range of styles from the same region, thoughtfully matched with the Horseshoe Grill’s classic European cuisine.
