Château Calon Ségur is one of the most renowned and sought-after wines of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. At this dinner at the Centurion Restaurant, the guest of honour presenting Château Calon Ségur’s wines will be Laurent Dufau, managing director of the château, who will explain the unique qualities of each vintage.
Located in the northernmost classified growth in the Médoc, Château Calon Ségur is one of 14 Third Growths under the historic Classification of 1855, and the only one in the Saint-Estèphe region. The wines are known for their great depth, concentration and length.
After a welcoming glass of Champagne Barons de Rothschild Brut 2014, Members and their guests will be served the 2014 vintage of Marquis de Calon, the second wine of the estate. It will be followed by four vintages of the Château Calon Ségur Grand Vin: the 2011 in magnum, 2003, 2005 and 1998.
Dishes prepared by Shaun Anthony, our Executive Chef (Western), include Comté and onion cream, lightly brined and smoked pheasant, as well as Australian Wagyu rib-eye.
Early reservations for this exceptional wine dinner are advised.
