FLAM WINE DINNER
A New Generation of Mediterranean Wines

This special dinner at the Fortune Room will introduce Members to highly rated wines from Israel.

Wine from the Flam family, Israel’s premier family-owned artisan wine producer, consistently earns scores in the 90-plus range from Robert Parker and Wine Enthusiast, among other authorities.

Wine has been made in Israel since biblical times, but it is only during the last 30 years or so that quality producers interested in establishing their wines in international markets have begun to emerge.

The winery was established in 1998 by brothers Gilad and Golan Flam and their mother Kami. Their ‘fierce and intense wines’ reflect a reinvigorated tradition of Mediterranean wine making. The vineyards are geared to low yields of high quality grapes, and are planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah.

Members and their guests will be able to taste a selection of the family’s reserve wines, including Flam Syrah Reserve, Flam Merlot Reserve and Flam Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. During the dinner, there will also be a performance by the award-wining operatic singer Boyd Owen.

This is a rare opportunity to taste exceptional wines from an important emerging wine region, and early reservations are advised.
