Update on COVID-19 Measures (issued 21 July)

In consideration of the increasing COVID-19 threat, the Club will be implementing a staggered work schedule for our staff working at the Clubhouses and Happy Valley Racecourse non-race day outlets. Such an arrangement is necessary to mitigate against the risks of cross-infection in the event there are confirmed staff or Member cases.

This deployment approach means that our staff will be divided into two teams and rostered to work on alternate dates to avoid close contact. Notwithstanding this approach, we are committed to delivering our high service standards. Therefore, kindly note the following changes to the operation of some of the dining outlets which take effect from Wednesday, 22 July until further notice:

  • Happy Valley Clubhouse: Fortune Room, Six Furlong Express and Derby Bar will be closed
  • Beas River Country Club: Horseshoe Grill will be closed

The outlets at Sha Tin Clubhouse and Happy Valley Racecourse would continue to offer lunch service. Members are also encouraged to order take-away and may refer to the menus here <click>. For take-away, we recommend Members place their orders in advance. At Happy Valley Clubhouse and Sha Tin Clubhouse, the take-away orders can be collected from the pick-up points at the main entrances.

Please also be reminded that the closure of the other facilities as announced on 14 July such as Gym, Swimming Pool, Changing Room, Steam and Sauna Suites, Massage Rooms, Tennis Basketball and Multi-Purpose Courts, Children Facilities (indoor and outdoor), Reading, Billiard, Card and Entertainment Rooms, LEVADE and Wine Take-away Counters at ALL Clubhouses as well as the Chalets, Members’ Garden and Bicycle Trail at Beas River Country Club remain in place until further notice. The car parks at the Clubhouses will close at 6:30pm daily.

Other vigilance measures implemented previously such as temperature screening, completing the Health Declaration Form and wearing of face masks (except when dining), maintaining space of at least 1.5 meters in between tables in dining and banqueting facilities are still in place.
