Preliminary Positive Case at Happy Valley Clubhouse, Sports Complex and Beas River Country Club and Recommencement of Operations of Indoor Facilities at Sports Complex and LEVADE in Sha Tin Clubhouse (issued Monday, 25 July)

We have received reports from an employee, a Member and a guest that their COVID-19 tests done on Saturday, 23 July, Sunday, 24 July and Monday, 25 July respectively, had returned positive.

The employee concerned was recently on duty in 2/F Family Changing Room’s ladies washroom and Valley Pool’s ladies washroom and viewing deck on the pool side at Happy Valley New Clubhouse from 3pm – 12am on Friday, 22 July and in Fortune Room, The Gallop and 2/F at Happy Valley Old Clubhouse from 7am – 4pm on Sunday, 24 July. She performed her duties at back of house and did not come into contact with any Members or guests. She had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before reporting for duty on 22, 24 and 25 July and only returned positive today.

The Member concerned recently attended the Tennis Group Class in Happy Valley Clubhouse Sports Complex from 5pm – 6pm on Friday, 22 July. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on daily basis with negative results and only his PCR test conducted on 23 July returned positive on 24 July.

The guest concerned recently visited The Old Clubhouse, The New Clubhouse and School Line at Beas River Country Club from 9am – 2pm on Friday, 22 July. He had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before the visit on 22 July with negative result and only his PCR test conducted on 24 July returned positive on 25 July.

Members who were in close proximity to the guest and the Member concerned on 22 and 24 July will be contacted by our Clubhouse team. We advise Members who visited 2/F Family Changing Room and Valley Pool at Happy Valley New Clubhouse, 2/F in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse, Sports Complex, The Old Clubhouse, The New Clubhouse and School Line in Beas River Country Club on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.

Also, we are pleased to inform Members that all the other employees who came into contact with the employees at the Sports Complex and Sha Tin Clubhouse LEVADE who are preliminary positive COVID-19 cases (as reported on Saturday, 23 July), have all returned negative results further to the completion of their PCR tests. Hence, we will recommence the operation of the indoor facilities at Sports Complex with effect from today, Monday, 25 July and LEVADE in Sha Tin Clubhouse with effect from tomorrow, Tuesday, 26 July.
