Preliminary Positive Cases in Happy Valley Clubhouse and Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday) and Temporary Closure of the Provincial in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday) (issued Thursday, 11 August)

We have received reports from two employees and a Member that their COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) done on Thursday, 11 August and Wednesday, 10 August respectively, had returned positive. As a precautionary measure, the Provincial in Happy Valley Racecourse will cease operation from today, Thursday, 11 August to Saturday, 13 August (both dates inclusive). Members who have bookings in the Provincial will be contacted for alternative arrangements.

The first employee case in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday)

The first employee concerned is a service staff and was recently on duty in the Provincial on Monday, 8 August and Wednesday, 10 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 8, 9, 10 and 11 August and only returned positive on 11 August.

The second employee case in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday)

The second employee concerned is a service staff and was recently on duty in the Provincial on Monday, 8 August and Tuesday, 9 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 8, 9, 10 and 11 August with negative results and only returned positive in his second Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) performed in the afternoon on 11 August.

The Member case in Happy Valley Clubhouse

The Member concerned recently visited 2/F Male Changing Room and Rooftop Tennis Court number 3 in Happy Valley New Clubhouse from 3:54pm – 6:25pm and 3/F Male Changing Room in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse from 6:29pm – 6:50pm on Sunday, 7 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 7, 8, 9 and 10 August and only returned positive on 10 August.

While deep cleansing to the affected venues has been carried out, we advise Members who visited the Provincial in Happy Valley Racecourse, 2/F Male Changing Room, Rooftop Tennis Court number 3 in Happy Valley New Clubhouse and 3/F Male Changing Room in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.
