Preliminary Positive Cases and Temporary Closure of the Valley Gym in Happy Valley New Clubhouse and The Old Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar in Beas River Country Club (issued Monday, 15 August)

We have received reports from two employees that their COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) done on Sunday, 14 August and Monday, 15 August respectively, had returned positive. As a precautionary measure, the Valley Gym in Happy Valley New Clubhouse and The Old Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar in Beas River Country Club will cease operation from today, Monday, 15 August to Wednesday, 17 August (both dates inclusive). Members who have subscribed to Valley Gym classes will be contacted for alternative arrangements.

The employee case in Happy Valley New Clubhouse

The employee concerned is a Personal Trainer and was recently on duty in the Valley Gym from 5:39pm – 8:15pm on Thursday, 11 August, from 10:06am – 11:22am on Saturday, 13 August and from 10:14am – 1:01pm on Sunday, 14 August. Members who had joined his classes will be informed by the Clubhouse team. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 11, 13 and 14 August with negative results. His second Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted in the evening on 14 August returned positive.

The employee case in Beas River Country Club

The employee concerned was recently on duty in The Old Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar from 9am – 9pm on Sunday, 14 August. She had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before reporting for duty on 14 August with negative result and only returned positive in her Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on 15 August.

While deep cleansing to the affected venues has been carried out, we advise Members who visited the Valley Gym in Happy Valley New Clubhouse and The Old Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar in Beas River Country Club on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.
