Employee Preliminary Positive Cases in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse and Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday) and Recommencement of Operation of Teppanyaki Isshō in Happy Valley New Clubhouse (issued Monday, 29 August)

We have received report from two employees that their COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) done on Sunday, 28 August, had returned positive.

The employee case in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse

The employee concerned is a service staff and was recently on duty in the Activity Rooms (including Card Room, Entertainment Room and Billiard Room), the Trophy Room and the Concierge from 12:30noon – 11:27pm on Thursday, 25 August and from 4pm – 11pm Friday, 26 August. She had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 25 and 26 August with negative results.

The employee case in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday)

The employee concerned is a kitchen staff and was recently on duty in Moon Koon Restaurant on Thursday, 25 August and Friday, 26 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 25 and 26 August with negative results.

While deep cleansing to the affected venues has been carried out, we advise Members who visited the Activity Rooms, the Trophy Room and the Concierge in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse and the Moon Koon Restaurant on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.

Also, we are pleased to inform Members that the employees of Teppanyaki Isshō who were identified as close contacts of their respective family members’ confirmed cases (as reported on Friday, 19 August), have all returned negative results further to the completion of their PCR tests. Hence, we will recommence the operation of Teppanyaki Isshō in Happy Valley New Clubhouse with effect from Wednesday, 31 August.
