Preliminary Positive Cases in Happy Valley Clubhouse and Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday) and Temporary Closure of The Derby Restaurant in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse (issued Thursday, 1 September)
We have received reports from an employee and three Members that their COVID-19 tests done on Wednesday, 31 August, and Tuesday, 30 August respectively, had returned positive. Due to the staffing circumstance, The Derby Restaurant in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse will cease operation from today, Thursday, 1 September to Saturday, 3 September (both dates inclusive). Members who have bookings in The Derby Restaurant will be contacted for alternative arrangements.
The employee case in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse
The employee concerned is a kitchen staff and was recently on duty in The Derby Restaurant from 10am – 2:15pm on Tuesday, 30 August and Wednesday, 31 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 30 and 31 August with negative results and his PCR Test conducted on 31 August had returned positive on 1 September. As he had multiple direct contacts with other staff in the kitchen; we are unable to operate the restaurant due to insufficient manning as all the direct contacts would have to undergo PCR testings and return negative results before they can be rostered for work.
The two Members case in Happy Valley New Clubhouse
The two Members concerned recently visited the Trio from 1:33pm – 3:39pm on Saturday, 27 August. They had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 27, 28, 29 and 30 August and only returned positive on 30 August.
The Member case in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday)
The Member concerned recently visited the Moon Koon Restaurant from 1pm – 3:30pm on Tuesday, 30 August. She had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before her visit on 30 August with negative result and her PCR Test conducted on 31 August had returned positive.
While deep cleansing to the affected venues has been carried out, we advise Members who visited The Derby Restaurant in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse, the Trio in Happy Valley New Clubhouse and the Moon Koon Restaurant in Happy Valley Racecourse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.
