On French National Day, 14 July, the acclaimed Southern Rhône wines of La Bastide Saint Dominique will be the stars of a special five-course dinner crafted by Chef de Cuisine Chan Sze-ling at The Racing Club. Guest of honour, importer Amorosso Fine Wines Brands Ambassador, Riccardo Mazzotti, will introduce the wines.
La Bastide Saint Dominique is a 50-hectare family-owned estate, which includes vineyards in the Côtes du Rhône, Côte Rôtie and Châteauneuf du Pape appellations. The dinner will feature wines from all three, beginning with two whites.
La Bastide’s Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2016 will be poured as an aperitif, and the Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc from the same vintage will accompany the first course.
Older vintages of red wines will complement the second, third and main courses: Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge 2014, Châteauneuf du Pape “Les Hespérides” 2013 and Côte Rôtie Rouge 2012.
The evening will end on a sweet note with Beaumes-de-Venise Muscat 2015 accompanying the dessert.
Members will also have the opportunity to buy wines to take away, and early reservations are advised.
