Positive Case at Happy Valley Clubhouse Sports Complex (issued Saturday, 21 November)

The Club has been informed by the Table Tennis coach at the Happy Valley Clubhouse Sports Complex late tonight that the Centre for Health Protection has approached and informed him that a female Member he coached on 18 November has been tested positive for COVID-19 on 21 November.

On Wednesday, 18 November, the Member concerned was at the Old Clubhouse lobby briefly at 10:45am before walking to the Sports Centre reception and lobby at 10.50 am and then taking the stairs to the Squash Court at 11.00am, stopping briefly to visit the female Changing Room. The Member then left the Sports Centre at 12.40pm and did not go anywhere else within the Clubhouse complex. Other than this visit, the Member has not been at the Clubhouse during the previous 14 days.

In accordance with our established precautionary policy and procedures, the Sports Complex will be closed tomorrow, Sunday, 22 November until further notice for deep cleaning and disinfection. In addition, we are in the process of identifying any Members and staff she had come into contact with and will reach out to them accordingly.

A further update on this case will be posted on this website once we have gathered all the findings.
