The average horse training costs of each trainer are published on a monthly basis. The training costs include basic livery, trainer's fee, retained jockey/work rider fee, medication, supplements, treatments, surgery, feed, bedding and other variable items such as grass and saddlery. This information is intended to help Owners to better understand the livery charges for their horse(s).

The 2025 Overseas Bloodstock Sales Calendar highlights some of the key sales featuring a high-quality selection of bloodstock from renowned breeding regions around the world. These sales offer a range of options including yearlings, two-year-olds and horses in training, providing a valuable platform to Owners to select their racehorses for Hong Kong.
In anticipation of heavy traffic during the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races (HKIR), Owners parking in Grandstand Car Park (P3) are encouraged to use the ‘Penfold Park’ entrances from Tolo Highway to access the racecourse. The access routes will be much more direct, with an anticipated time saving of 5 to15 minutes during the peak arrival period.
We are pleased to announce the enhancement of table booking in Group races. Starting with Group races in November, this additional service is available to Owners with confirmed starters in Group 1, 2, 3 and 4-Y-O Classic Series races.
Due to the potential impact of Severe Typhoon Yagi, the Barrier Trials scheduled to take place on Saturday, 7 September, 2024 at Happy Valley will be rescheduled to Friday, 20 September, 2024. As a result, the Breakfast for Owners has also been rescheduled. We appreciate your understanding and support of this arrangement.
Seven Twilight Race Meetings will be arranged in June and July this year. At these Twilight Race Meetings, the first race will be re-scheduled to 4:00pm and they will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse on 2, 8, 15, 23 June and 1, 6 and 14 July 2024.

In order to aid recovery of the Happy Valley turf track, the Barrier Trials scheduled to take place on Friday, 17 May 2024 at Happy Valley have been cancelled. As a result, the Breakfast for Owners has also been cancelled. We appreciate your understanding and support of this arrangement.
