Update on Positive Member Cases at Happy Valley Old and New Clubhouses (issued Wednesday, 25 November)

Further to our notice issued on Monday, 23 November night on the closure of the Happy Valley Old and New Clubhouses due to four positive cases; we would like to update Members on our findings of the infected persons’ respective movements (counting 14 days back from the dates they were confirmed as positive). Their movements were established based on CCTV recordings and supplemented by their own recollections.

Since Monday, our Clubhouse management has been conscientiously reaching out to Members whom we have been able to identify, to the best of our abilityas coming into contact with the persons above and to advise them as such. In regard to our employees who have come into contact, they have all undergone the medical testings and all results are thankfully negative.

Further, the other Members, the Table Tennis coach and employees who have come into contact with the infected Member at the Sports Complex as reported on Sunday, 22 November have also had their respective testings returned as negative.

All the deep cleaning and disinfection works will be completed as scheduled. On a similar note, we wish to inform Members that in addition to our regular cleaning and sanitization practices, all clubhouse and racecourse facilities have been treated with the Zoono® sanitizer. Zoono® is a long-acting antimicrobial compound accredited by over 150 international testing organizations and attained food safety authority standards which is proven to kill 99.99% germs, including the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As our established practice, the facilities are cleaned and disinfected every hour with deep cleansing being done after business hours on a daily basis.

We would like to thank Members for their patience and understanding, and will update you soonest on the re-opening arrangements of both Clubhouses.
