Update on COVID-19 Measures (issued Thursday, 18 March)

The Government has announced that most of the existing social distancing measures and restrictions will be extended for another 14 days from today until Wednesday, 31 March 2021. In particular, Members are reminded that in light of the current outbreak in fitness centres; effective from 11 March 2021, the Government has mandated that masks must be worn at all times in gyms except when taking a shower.

As the COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong remains challenging, Members and guests are reminded to remain vigilant and refrain from visiting any Club facilities if they fall within ANY of the following categories:

  • They currently have or have had in the past 14 days any of the common COVID-19 symptoms;
  • They have been out of Hong Kong and are currently subject to any compulsory quarantine order issued by the government;
  • They have been in close contact in the past 14 days with any person who has been out of Hong Kong and is subject to the government’s compulsory quarantine order;
  • They have been in close contact in the past 14 days with any person who is a confirmed or preliminary positive COVID-19 case;
  • There is any confirmed COVID-19 case in their residential buildings in the past 14 days as published by the Centre for Health Protection, notwithstanding that they have undergone COVID-19 testings and returned negative results;
  • They are subject to any compulsory testing notices or directions and have not been tested negative.

The above examples are not exhaustive. If in doubt, we advise that Members and guests err on the side of caution and refrain from using Club facilities in consideration of the health and safety of other Members, guests and staff.

All persons visiting any Club facilities must fill out the prescribed Health Declaration Form confirming that they do not fall within any of categories as set out above as well as providing their personal particulars in compliance with the Government’s requirement and to facilitate contact tracing. The form can be found at here.

We thank Members for their support, understanding and cooperation.  Please continue to refer to this website for further updates.
