Update on COVID-19 Measures (issued Friday, 30 April)

The latest Government gazette released yesterday has directed that the social distancing measures can be further relaxed through the introduction of a “vaccine bubble”.

In this respect, the Club is unable to fulfil the relevant conditions to implement the vaccine bubble immediately due to the significant operational challenges arising and the current number of staff who have been vaccinated.

Members may be assured that all necessary diligence and resources are being deployed to assess how the requirements can be met in the shortest time possible. As soon as viable, pilots will be undertaken at certain facilities with the highest emphasis given to product and service quality in the assessments.

The Club will continue to encourage employees to take the vaccination if their health conditions permit; guided by the principles of respecting employee choice and for the betterment of society. In the interim, the Club will stringently observe the regular testing requirements for employees and all other vigilance procedures. The social distancing measures as previously communicated remain in place at all facilities.

We will provide timely updates to Members and hope to count on Members’ patience, support and understanding.
