Opening of New Kat O Bar (issued Thursday, 10 June)

Members will be delighted to hear that the new Kat O Bar will officially open this Saturday, 12 June just in time for the opening stage matches of the Euro 2020 Championship.

Following an extensive renovation of the 5/F dining facilities last year, the Kat O Bar has been completely transformed to offer Members an elegant and inviting ambience to socialise over their drink of choice. The uniquely designed Racecourse-shaped Bar is conducive for mingling and watching the different broadcasts of sporting events. Football fans are encouraged to make their way there to watch the Euro 2020 Championship’s Wales vs. Switzerland match, which will be telecasted live at 9pm this Saturday.

In line with mandatory requirements, Members are reminded that any person visiting the Kat O Bar is required to have received at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and each table will be limited to 2 persons. Members and guests are required to show their vaccination records and scan the QR code of the “LeaveHomeSafe” (“LHS”) mobile App to record their visits. Temperature checks will also be conducted. Also in accordance with the current regulatory requirement, the Bar will operate at 50%  of its capacity and all its staff have received at least their first dose of the vaccine whereas those who are unfit for vaccination will undergo the mandatory COVID testing every 7 days.
