Amendments to House Rules at Clubhouses (issued Monday, 5 July)

We have updated several house rules for the Clubhouses which will take effect from 5 July 2021, except for the revised Reservation Policy for Bars which will be effective on 15 July 2021.

Taking this opportunity, we would also like to draw Members’ attention to the rule in respect of mobile devices on Club premises as there have been increasing incidences of non-compliance. Members and guests are required to keep mobile phones and other electronic communication devices on silent or vibration mode at all times except on certain areas as set out in the Members’ Facilities Directory. Voice calls and voice message recording (with or without earphones) are strictly prohibited within all restaurants, bars and leisure facilities so as to ensure a comfortable and tranquil environment for all. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and all non-compliances will be managed according to the Club’s disciplinary process and may lead to suspension of membership privileges.

The full set of house rules is published in the Members’ Facilities Directory and you may also refer to the online version (click here) for details. Members who have opted for the printed version will receive it together with the Racing Pack towards end August, 2021. For ease of reference, the key updates are as follows:

  1. Walk-in Dining Outlets
Six Furlong, The Parade and The Rock in the Happy Valley Clubhouse will be on a walk-in basis and reservations will no longer be accepted.
  2. Child Cardholder’s Signing Right
Child Cardholders will have signing rights at The Parade, Sprinkles and Stables Café in the Happy Valley Clubhouse.
  3. Dogs’ Access at the Stables Café
Only dogs with height up to 70cm (measured from the shoulder) can access the Stables Café. Dogs taller than 50cm will need to wear a muzzle at all times unless they are eating or drinking, and must be leashed at all times. All dogs should always be kept on a leash no longer than one and a half meters in length, or placed in a fully enclosed pet carrier when on Club premises.
  4. Flexibility for Bar Outlet Reservation
After 5:00pm (except during festive period / special events) each eligible Cardholder may reserve one table at a Bar* outlet in addition to his / her reservation at a restaurant.
(Exception: similar to the reservation rule for Restaurants, eligible Cardholders under the same membership account may not reserve additional tables at the same Bar outlet in the same period.)
    *Bar outlets:
360 Bar, Happy Bar, Happy Circle I, Happy Circle II, Private Reserve (all at The Eighth), The Derby Bar and Kat O Bar.
