Update on Novel Coronavirus Mitigation Measures (25 February)

The Club was informed by a Member today afternoon (25 February), that she has been tested as preliminary positive for COVID-19. According to our records and confirmation with the Member, she had visited the Food Plaza and LEVADE at the Happy Valley Clubhouse on 14 February and had also used the Gym on 11 February.

The Club takes this case seriously and has immediately suspended the operations of the Food Plaza, Six Furlong (on the same floor as Food Plaza) and LEVADE until further notice.

Further, as a conservative precautionary measure, the 3/F Recreation Facilities – Swimming Pool, Gym and Changing Room shall be closed starting this evening until 10 March. Employees who reported duty on the 11 February and 14 February at these outlets will undergo a 14-day self-isolation.

Since 26 January, the Club has elevated its disinfecting practices. The Club facilities are cleaned and disinfected every hour with deep cleaning of all front and back of house areas done after operation is closed. The other vigilance measures such as temperature screening for staff, Members and guests, as well as staff wearing masks will continue to be in place.
