Update on COVID-19 Vigilance Measures (Friday, 3 April)

Revised on Thursday, 16 Apr

Following the Government’s latest directive aimed at reducing social, leisure and recreational activities, the Club will continue to close the following facilities until further notice:

  • Happy Valley Clubhouse: ALL Recreation and Children facilities, the Entertainment Room, Card Room, Food Plaza, Snack Bar; the Derby Bar has ceased its Bar operation and is only open for lunch and tea in the lounge section up to 6pm
  • Sha Tin Clubhouse: ALL Recreation and Children facilities and the Entertainment Room (Note: the Centurion Restaurant and Kat O Bar is closed for renovation until year end)
  • Beas River Country Club: ALL Recreation and Children facilities, the Old Clubhouse Bar Counter, Stirrup Bar and Elbow Bar

Our dining outlets at the Clubhouses and Happy Valley Racecourse (with the exception of those mentioned above) would continue to operate. As a reminder, the other measures mandated previously continue to be in place:

  • All Members and guests must undergo temperature screening, put on face masks and complete the Declaration Form when accessing all Club facilities
  • All dining outlets at the Clubhouses and Racecourse which are currently operational would restrict seating to a maximum of 4 persons per table
  • On weekends and public holidays, Members may only bring family members and other Members as guests
  • All large scale Banquets (including weddings) are cancelled

We also encourage Members to order take-away if possible; menus of the different locations can be found here (click).

Members may be assured we would continue to closely monitor the evolving situation and adjust the measures as required.

Whilst the closures and measures concerned would cause inconvenience to Members and guests, we hope to count on Members understanding that they are necessary so as to mitigate the continued threat of transmission during this unprecedented time.

Our sincere appreciation for your support.
