At the Happy Valley Clubhouse, the Snack Bar will re-open on Saturday, 9 May but will only operate on weekends for the time being. As we head into the home stretch of preparing for the highly anticipated opening of the New Clubhouse this summer, which offers an exciting array of dining, recreational and children facilities; the Food Plaza will not fully re-open. Instead, we will be introducing “Six Furlong Express” as of Wednesday, 13 May.  Located at the pool viewing area on the 4/F, it is a self-service model featuring the most popular dishes from Food Plaza such as Noodles, Chinese BBQ Rice, Congee as well as HK-style Rice dishes. It will operate from 11.30am to 9pm, 7 days a week. Additionally, until the New Clubhouse opens, the Chater Room on the 2/F will open on weekends featuring either Dim Sum or festive menus as an additional dining option for Members.

Other important information

Please also note the following measures which will take effect from Friday, 8 May onwards until further notice:

  • Social distancing measure in dining outlets will be relaxed to a maximum of 8 persons per table instead of 4 persons currently; bookings for private dining rooms or banquets (sit-down events only) will also accommodate a maximum of 8 persons per table
  • In the Bar areas, only a maximum of 4 persons per table will be accommodated
  • At the Gyms, Changing Rooms and Shower facilities; social distancing measures will be implemented in line with the Government’s directives

Members are also welcome to invite other guests in addition to family members to the dining outlets from the weekend of 16 May onwards.

As a gentle reminder, other vigilance measures implemented previously such as temperature screening, completing the Health Declaration form and wearing of face masks (except when dining), maintaining space of at least 1.5 meters in between tables in dining and banqueting facilities are still in place. Members may be assured that all our facilities will continue to observe the stringent standards and high frequencies of cleaning and sanitation as mandated.

Facilities which remain closed until further notice across the clubhouses are the Steam & Sauna suites, Children’s Play areas and Karaoke rooms.
