Update on Partial Relaxation of Social Distancing Measures (issued 18 June)

Pursuant to the latest announcement from the Government, we are pleased to inform Members the following measures will be further relaxed with effect from tomorrow, Friday, 19 June:

  • Restaurants: No limitation on the number of persons seated at one table (subject to table size)
  • Bars: Relaxed to a maximum of 8 persons per table instead of 4 persons; live entertainment at the Derby Bar of Happy Valley Clubhouse will resume
  • Entertainment Rooms: Relaxed to a maximum of 16 persons at any one time; however, face masks must still be worn during singing
  • Recreation Facilities: Relaxed to a maximum of 16 persons (including the coach) for each group / lesson; the restriction on number of lockers at Changing Rooms for use will be removed

Facilities which remain closed until further notice across the Clubhouses are the Steam & Sauna suites and Indoor Children’s Playzones.

As a gentle reminder, other vigilance measures implemented previously such as temperature screening, completing the Health Declaration form and wearing of face masks (except when dining), maintaining space of at least 1.5 meters in between tables in dining and banqueting facilities are still in place. Members may be assured that all our facilities will continue to observe the stringent standards and high frequencies of cleaning and sanitation as mandated.
