Updates on the New Sha Tin Racecourse Car Park (issued Wednesday, 1 September)

The Club has been working continuously to enhance the overall race-going experience for Members and Owners, whose support is crucial for Hong Kong’s thriving racing scene. Part of our efforts is building a new car park near the Members’ Main Entrance at Sha Tin Racecourse.

The construction of the car park is progressing smoothly and is on track to meet its scheduled finish date for the 2022/23 season. Once complete, it will provide 523 parking spaces, serving primarily Owners with Starters, Honorary Voting Members and Voting Members on racedays. On non-racedays, additional parking spaces will be available to Members visiting Sha Tin Clubhouse. The number of spaces available and their terms of use will be announced at a later date.

The new car park will improve road alignment at Sha Tin Racecourse, increase the number of covered parking facilities near the Grandstand venues, ease traffic flow and make drop-off points much more convenient.

In the coming season, some areas, including the entrances to the 2/F Members Betting Hall, 2/F Private Boxes and Jockey Club Box (JC Box), will be amended to facilitate construction work until the project is complete before the start of the 2022/23 season. In the meantime, we’ll provide an alternate access route to these locations via the 1/F Public Betting Hall. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope for your support in making this project a success.
