Preliminary Positive Employee Case and Temporary Closure of The Racing Club’s Dining Room and Sports Bar at Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday) (issued Sunday, 17 July)

We have received a report from an employee that his COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) done today, Sunday, 17 July, has returned positive. As a precautionary measure, The Racing Club’s Dining Room and Sports Bar at Happy Valley Racecourse will cease operation with immediate effect from today, Sunday, 17 July. Members with reservations will be contacted for alternative arrangements.

The employee concerned is a Cook and was recently on duty in The Racing Club Dining Room at Happy Valley Racecourse (non-raceday) on Thursday, 14 July and Friday, 15 July, and in The Racing Club’s Sha Tin Box D510 in Sha Tin Racecourse during race meeting on Saturday, 16 July. He had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before reporting for duty on 14, 15 and 16 July with negative results.

We advise Members who visited The Dining Room in Happy Valley Racecourse (non-raceday) and Sha Tin Box D510 in Sha Tin Racecourse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health. We will further apprise Members about the reopening date.
