Preliminary Positive Cases and Temporary Closure of Indoor Facilities at Happy Valley Clubhouse’s Sports Complex and LEVADE in Sha Tin Clubhouse (issued Saturday, 23 July)

We have received reports from two employees and a guest that their COVID-19 tests done on Saturday, 23 July and Wednesday, 20 July respectively, have returned positive. As a precautionary measure, Happy Valley Clubhouse’s Sports Complex (except Reception Counter, Tennis Courts, Golf Short Game Area and Snack Bar) and LEVADE in Sha Tin Clubhouse will cease operation with immediate effect from today, Saturday, 23 July. Members visiting Tennis Courts in Sports Complex may use the changing rooms in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse or in Happy Valley New Clubhouse. Members who have bookings in the Sports Complex facilities will be contacted for alternative arrangements.

The first employee concerned was recently on duty at the Sports Complex of Happy Valley Clubhouse from 1:24pm – 11pm on Wednesday, 20 July and Thursday, 21 July. He had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before reporting for duty on 20, 21 and 23 July and only returned positive this morning.

The second employee concerned was recently on duty at LEVADE in Sha Tin Clubhouse from 9:45am – 7:51pm on Wednesday, 20 July and Thursday, 21 July. She had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before reporting for duty on 20, 21 and 23 July and only returned positive this morning.

The guest concerned last visited the noodle bar in Oi Suen of Sha Tin Clubhouse from 12:40pm – 1:17pm on Tuesday, 19 July. She had taken PCR tests on 19 and 20 July and only the test conducted on 20 July had returned positive.

The deep cleansing to the facilities has been carried out. We advise Members who visited the Sports Complex of Happy Valley Clubhouse, LEVADE and Oi Suen in Sha Tin Clubhouse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health. We will further apprise Members about the reopening date.
