Preliminary Positive Case and Temporary Closure of Provincial in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday) (issued Thursday, 28 July)

We have received a report from an employee that his COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) done before reporting for duty today, Thursday, 28 July, has returned positive. As a precautionary measure, Provincial in Happy Valley Racecourse will cease operation today, Thursday, 28 July, and tomorrow, Friday, 29 July. Members who have bookings in Provincial will be contacted for alternative arrangements.

The employee concerned is a kitchen staff and was recently on duty in Provincial in Happy Valley Racecourse on Monday, 25 July and Tuesday, 26 July. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 25 and 26 July with negative results.

The deep cleansing to the venue has been carried out. We advise Members who visited Provincial in Happy Valley Racecourse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.
