Preliminary Positive Cases and Temporary Closure of The Gallop in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse, Bistro Canter and Centurion Restaurant in Sha Tin Clubhouse (issued Tuesday, 9 August)
We have received reports from two employees and four guests that their COVID-19 tests done on Monday, 8 August and Tuesday, 9 August respectively, had returned positive. As a precautionary measure, the following restaurants will be temporarily closed:
Members who have bookings in The Gallop, the Bistro Canter and the Centurion Restaurant will be contacted for alternative arrangements.
The employee case in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse
The employee concerned works in the reception counter of The Gallop and was recently on duty on Saturday, 6 August and Sunday, 7 August. She had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 6, 7, 8 and 9 August and only returned positive on 9 August.
The first guest case in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse
The first guest concerned recently visited the Hilltop Paddock from 7:53pm – 8:30pm on Saturday, 6 August. His Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on 8 August had returned positive.
The second and third guest cases in Happy Valley Clubhouse
The second and third guests concerned recently visited LEVADE in Happy Valley New Clubhouse from 6:20pm – 6:30pm, LEVADE in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse from 6:30pm – 6:45pm and The Parade in Happy Valley New Clubhouse from 6:45pm – 8:45pm on Sunday, 7 August. Their Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) conducted on 8 August had returned positive.
The employee case in Sha Tin Clubhouse
The employee concerned is a kitchen staff and was recently on duty in the Bistro Canter and the Centurion on Saturday, 6 August and from 10am – 11:30am on Tuesday, 9 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 6 and 9 August with negative results. His second Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on 9 August returned positive.
The guest case in Sha Tin Clubhouse
The guest concerned recently visited Bistro Canter from 6:53pm – 7:58pm on Sunday, 7 August. His PCR test conducted on 8 August returned positive.
The deep cleansing to the venues has been carried out. We advise Members who visited The Gallop, the Hilltop Paddock, LEVADE and The Parade in Happy Valley Clubhouse, the Bistro Canter and the Centurion in Sha Tin Clubhouse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.
