Employee Preliminary Positive Cases in Happy Valley Clubhouse and Sha Tin Clubhouse (issued Wednesday, 17 August)

We have received reports from two employees that their COVID-19 tests done on Tuesday, 16 August had returned positive.

The employee case in Happy Valley Clubhouse

The employee concerned is a tennis coach and was recently on duty in the Sports Complex on Saturday, 13 August, in Happy Valley New Clubhouse and the Sports Complex on Monday, 15 August. Details are as follows:

Members who had joined his classes will be informed by the Clubhouse team. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 13,14, 15 and 16 August with negative results and only returned positive in his second Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted in the afternoon on 16 August.

The employee case in Sha Tin Clubhouse

The employee concerned was recently on duty in Male toilets from 8:30am – 6pm on Monday, 15 August, Tuesday, 16 August and from 8:30am – 1pm on Wednesday, 17 August. He performed his duties at back of house and did not come into contact with any Members or guests. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 15, 16 and 17 August with negative results. His PCR Test conducted in the evening on 16 August has returned positive today.

While deep cleansing to the affected venues has been carried out, we advise Members who visited the Tennis Courts in Sports Complex, the Rooftop Tennis Courts in Happy Valley New Clubhouse and Male toilets in Sha Tin Clubhouse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.
