Employee Preliminary Positive Cases in Clubhouses and Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday) (issued Saturday, 27 August)

We have received reports from four employees that their COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) done today, Saturday, 27 August and yesterday, Friday, 26 August had returned positive.

The employee case in Happy Valley New Clubhouse

The employee concerned was recently on duty in the Magic Valley on Wednesday, 24 August and Thursday, 25 August. She had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 24, 25, 26 and 27 August and only returned positive on 27 August.

The employee case in Sha Tin Clubhouse

The employee concerned was recently on duty in the 1/F Reception counter and Female Changing Room from 6:30am – 3:30pm on Wednesday, 24 August and from 6:30am – 10am on Friday, 26 August. She had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 24, 26 and 27 August and only returned positive on 27 August.

The first employee case in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday)

The employee concerned is a kitchen staff and was recently on duty in the Moon Koon Restaurant on Friday, 26 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before reporting for duty on 26 August with negative result. His second Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted in the late evening on 26 August returned positive.

The second employee case in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday)

The employee concerned is a kitchen staff and was recently on duty in The Racing Club Dining Room on Wednesday, 24 August, Thursday, 25 August and Friday, 26 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 24, 25, 26 and 27 August and only returned positive on 27 August.

While deep cleansing to the affected venues has been carried out, we advise Members who visited the Magic Valley in Happy Valley New Clubhouse, the 1/F Reception counter and the Female Changing Room in Sha Tin Clubhouse, the Moon Koon Restaurant and The Racing Club Dining Room in Happy Valley Racecourse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.
