Preliminary Positive Cases in Happy Valley Clubhouse and Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday) (issued Tuesday, 30 August)

We have received reports from three employees, a Member and a guest that their COVID-19 tests done on Tuesday, 30 August, Monday, 29 August and Sunday, 28 August respectively, had returned positive.

The employee case in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse

The employee concerned was recently on duty in the Concierge from 6:30am – 4:32pm on Saturday, 27 August and Sunday, 28 August and from 4:36pm – 8:06pm on Monday, 29 August. She had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) before reporting for duty on 27, 28, 29 and 30 August and only returned positive on 30 August.

The guest case in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse

The guest concerned recently visited The Gallop from 6:56pm – 8:45pm on Sunday, 28 August. Her Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and PCR test conducted on 29 August had returned positive.

The Member case in Happy Valley Clubhouse Sports Complex

The Member concerned recently visited the Tennis Court and Snack Bar from 8:55am – 10:08am on Saturday, 27 August. She had taken Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before her visit on 27 August with negative result and her PCR Test conducted on 28 August had returned positive.

The first employee case in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday)

The employee concerned is a kitchen staff and was recently on duty in the Moon Koon Restaurant on Sunday, 28 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 26, 27 and 28 August with negative results and his PCR Test conducted on 29 August had returned positive.

The second employee case in Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-raceday)

The employee concerned is a service staff and was recently on duty in the Moon Koon Restaurant on Saturday, 27 August. He had taken Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) on 27, 28, 29 and 30 August and only returned positive on 30 August.

While deep cleansing to the affected venues has been carried out, we advise Members who visited the Concierge and The Gallop in Happy Valley Old Clubhouse, Tennis Court and the Snack Bar in the Sports Complex and the Moon Koon Restaurant in Happy Valley Racecourse on the aforesaid dates to go for testing if they are concerned about their health.
