Takeaway Container Charges (issued Tuesday, 18 April)

The Club is strongly committed to environmental protection and sustainable practices. In recent years, we have actively replaced single-use plastics (SUPs) and the support from Members have seen us successfully reduce over 80% in the use of categories outlined in the Club’s Policy on Avoiding Single-use Plastics.

As the Club continues to promote greater eco-responsibility awareness, from Tuesday, 2 May; restaurants across the Club will charge a $2 packaging fee for each takeaway dish and container used for dine-in leftovers. We hope Members will continue to support us in our journey of “Going Green”.
