Typhoon 8 Information (updated Thursday, 31 August)

The Hong Kong Observatory has announced Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 will be issued between 2am and 5am on Friday, 1 September.

Members are kindly reminded that our Clubhouse facilities and Happy Valley Racecourse Non-Raceday restaurants are closed while Typhoon 8 signal is in force. They will reopen within 2 hours when the signal is lowered and no “extreme condition” is announced by the government. All facilities will remain closed for the day if the Typhoon 8 signal or “extreme condition” remains in force by 5pm.
