2023/2024 Happy Valley Barrier Trials and Breakfast

The Barrier Trials and Breakfast at Happy Valley Racecourse will be held on Saturday, 20 January 2024. Enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast at the Owners Box while watching the barrier trials with your family and friends. Meet and greet the lovely ponies and take a photo with them at the Ponies Corner.

Points to note

1) This invitation is non-transferable. R.S.V.P. must be made by the invited Owner only.

2) R.S.V.P. begins at 10:00 am on Wednesday, 3 January 2024, and closes at 5:00 pm on Monday, 8 January 2024.

3) Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis but some seats would be reserved for Owners with starters in the Barrier Trials.

4) Pre-registration is not required for Ponies Corner.

5) A confirmation SMS will be sent on or before Friday, 12 January 2024.

6) Cancellation cut-off date/time is 3:00 pm on Thursday, 18 January 2024.

7) A late cancellation or no-show charge of HK$300 per adult and HK$150 per child (aged under 18) will be applied if you:

  • Cancel your reservation after the cancellation cut-off time (3:00 pm on Thursday, 18 January 2024)
  • Actual attendance is less than seats reserved
  • Fail to take up your booked table

8) Please present Voting Members’/Owners’ Badge or Membership card upon check in.

9) For parking, please refer to the parking privileges of your Membership. Only The Hong Kong Jockey Club Headquarters Basement or Infield Car Parks will be available.

10) Event Arrangements under Inclement Weather Conditions

  • If the barrier trials are cancelled due to inclement weather conditions or other safety hazards that may arise, the Club will notify the registered Owners about the arrangement of barrier trials breakfast in advance as early as possible.
  • Please note it is at the absolute discretion of the Club to determine what does or does not constitute as inclement weather. Unless publicly stated otherwise, the event will not be assumed cancelled. Otherwise, a no-show fee will be charged.

11) The Club may take disciplinary actions or such other actions as the Club considers necessary against those who fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry to Club Premises.

12) In the event of any inconsistency between the Chinese version and the English, the English shall prevail.
