Update on Tracing Requirement to Access Club Premises (issued Thursday, 10 June)

We are pleased to inform Members the current tracing measures will be simplified. With effect from Friday, 11 June, Members and guests visiting Club premises are no longer required to complete the *Health Declaration form. Instead, the following measures will apply for permissibility of access:-

  • 1. All Members and guests visiting a catering, retail, sports or recreational facility at the Clubhouses as well as the Beas River Equestrian Centre must scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” (“LHS”) QR Code for that particular outlet using the LHS mobile App or fill out the prescribed FEHD form (click here for the form) to provide their particulars.
  • 2. Similarly at the Racecourses, all Members and guests must scan the LHS QR Code or complete the prescribed FEHD form at the entrances and catering venues.
  • 3. To safeguard and protect the health and safety of all Members, guests and staff, no person will be allowed to access any Club premises if he / she:-
    • (a) has had within 14 days prior to the date of visit any of the common symptoms of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) – such as fever, malaise, dry cough, shortness of breath, nasal congestion, headache, conjunctivitis, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, skin rash or discolouration of fingers or toes.
    • (b) is currently subject to any quarantine order issued by the Government.
    • (c) has been in close contact with any person who has travelled outside Hong Kong and is currently subject to a quarantine order issued by the Government, in particular family members, helpers or drivers.
    • (d) has been in close contact with any person who is a confirmed or preliminary positive case of COVID-19 infection in Hong Kong or overseas within 14 days prior to the date of visit.
    • (e) lives in a building in which there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the date of visit as published by the Centre for Health Protection.
    • (f) is required to undergo COVID-19 testing pursuant to a compulsory testing notice or direction and has not been confirmed negative.

Note: “Close contact” generally means having direct physical contact, living in the same household, travelling in the same vehicle or flight, having social contact in close proximity such as dining together. The above examples are not exhaustive. If in doubt, we advise Members to err on the side of caution and refrain from using Club facilities.

  • 4. Members should have the contact details of all guests they invite to the Club and provide such details to the Club if required for the purpose of contact tracing.

All persons who enter any Club premises or use any Club facilities are deemed to have declared that they do not fall within any of the circumstances as stated in paragraph 3 above. Members shall notify their guests of such conditions of entry and be responsible for the actions of their guests. Members are reminded that any person who knowingly conceals facts or provides false or misleading information is in serious breach of Club rules and the Member concerned will be subject to disciplinary proceedings.

We thank Members for their support and cooperation in ensuring a safe environment for all. Separately, Members may refer to another Notice issued today in respect of the measures the Club is taking to gradually move into Type C operating mode for its dining outlets.
