Latest COVID-19 Measures (issued Wednesday, 9 February)

As per the latest government directives tightening the social distancing measures, the following changes to the Club’s operation will be implemented with effect from Thursday, 10 February to Wednesday, 23 February 2022:

    • Restaurants operating under Type C are limited to maximum of 2 persons per table;
    • Type D restaurants are limited to maximum of 4 persons per table. ALL Members and guests must have received at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and present the QR Code of their vaccination records for scanning before seating, except those under the age of 12 or those medically unfit to receive vaccination due to medical reasons (such persons are required to produce a valid COVID-19 Medical Exemption Certificate in the form specified by the Government, please click <here> to see the template);
    • No banquet is allowed;
    • All the Chinese restaurants* will operate in full Type D mode starting from tomorrow, Thursday, 10 February;
    • Starting from next Monday, 14 February, ALL restaurants will operate under Type D mode.

(*Note: The Gallop restaurant will recommence operation on Friday, 11 February further to its temporary closure.)

All sports and recreational facilities remain closed.

The Government also announced that with effect from 24 February, the Vaccine Pass will be extended to cover all catering premises and other scheduled premises. All Members and guests accessing Racecourses and Clubhouses must have received at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine (except those under the age of 12 or with a valid Medical Exemption Certificate).

For access to Type D restaurants from 10 February and to prepare for full implementation of the Vaccine Pass on 24 February, Members are encouraged to update the LeaveHomeSafe App (LHS) and scan their vaccination records and/or Medical Exemption Certificate into the LHS App. Alternatively they may present vaccination records or medical exemption via the iAM Smart App or e-Health App or by providing the printed versions with the relevant QR codes. No entry will be permitted if Members or guests are not able to produce valid proof of vaccination or medical exemption.
