Recommencement of Additional Dining Facilities’ Operation (issued Tuesday, 5 April)

We are pleased to inform Members the Club will recommence the operation of more dining facilities in light of the improving pandemic situation and our risk assessment in this respect. Further to the reopening of Six Furlong, Hilltop Paddock and The Ladies’ Purse last week, additional dining facilities at the Happy Valley and Sha Tin Clubhouses and the Happy Valley Racecourse Non-Raceday restaurants will recommence operation with effect from this Friday, 8 April.

The details are as follows:

Happy Valley Clubhouse

  • The Gallop
    (Weekdays) – Lunch: 12nn to 3pm
    (Weekends & Public Holidays) – Lunch: 10:30am to 3pm (There will be 2 seatings: 10:30am-12nn and 12:30pm-3pm)

    Takeaway services will be provided from opening until 9pm, the last order is at 8:15pm.

Sha Tin Clubhouse

  • Oi Suen
    (Weekdays & Saturdays) – Lunch: 12nn to 3pm (On Saturdays, there will be 2 seatings: 12nn-1:30pm and 1:45pm-3pm)
    (Sundays & Public Holidays) – Lunch: 10:30am to 3:30pm (There will be 3 seatings: 10:30am-12nn, 12:15pm-1:45pm and 2pm-3:30pm)

    Further, The Ladies’ Purse will extend its operating hours to 7am-6pm daily.

    Takeaway services will be provided at both outlets from opening until 9pm, the last order is at 8:15pm.

Happy Valley Racecourse (Non-Raceday Restaurants)

  • Moon Koon Restaurant
    (Weekdays) – Lunch: 12nn to 3pm
    (Weekends & Public Holidays) – Lunch: 10:30am to 3:30pm (There will be 2 seatings: 10:30am-12:30pm and 1pm-3:30pm)

    Takeaway services will be provided from opening until 9pm, the last order is at 8:15pm; on Wednesday race nights, take-away services will be provided until 3:15pm only, the last order is at 2:30pm.

 

  • The Racing Club – Hong Kong Kitchen
    (Non-racedays except Tuesdays) – Lunch: 12nn to 3pm

    Takeaway services will be provided from opening until 3pm, the last order is at 2:30pm.

 

As the evolving pandemic situation may continue to affect our staff deployment and food supplies, kindly note that our menu selection at all the above mentioned restaurants may be modified or changed at short notice.

The Club will continue to place the health and safety of our Members and employees as the highest priority. For this purpose, we hope to count on Members’ cooperation to observe the following measures:

  • Vaccine Pass requirements: Members and guests must have received at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (and at least two doses from 30 April) in compliance with the Government’s Vaccine Pass requirement; must use the LeaveHomeSafe App and produce relevant proof of vaccination or exemption when entering the Clubhouses and individual restaurants;
  • Conditions of Entry: Members and guests may not use Club facilities if they fall within one of the conditions of the Conditions of Entry. The Conditions of Entry has been updated with effect from 1 April and the most updated version can be found <here>.
  • Guest Policy: Only Members and Direct Household members; maximum of 2 persons allowed to be seated at each table for dine-in;
  • Reservations are required to access all the aforesaid dining venues (reservations can be made over the Members’ Mobile App or calling the outlets directly starting from 9am on Wednesday, 6 April, except Hong Kong Kitchen starts booking from 10am.); for on-day reservations, they will be accepted up to 1 hour prior to the start of each meal period. Reservations can only be made up to Wednesday, 20 April and will only be accepted for the dining venues stated above. Each membership account may only book one table each time.

We regret to inform Members that walk-ins will not be accommodated at these dining venues until further notice. Apart from the relevant dining facilities and carparks at Happy Valley Old Clubhouse, Sha Tin Clubhouse and Jockey Club Headquarters, all other facilities will remain closed. Please be assured that we will continue to diligently monitor the situation and reopen more facilities when viable in line with the Government’s announcement on 21 March 2022.
