Pre-Season Carnival 2023

Join us at the always highly anticipated Pre-Season Carnival at Sha Tin Racecourse! This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever, as we bring together horse owners, trainers and jockeys for a day of celebration and excitement. Indulge in delicious food, enjoy live entertainment, watch the jockeys’ sprint* and racehorse grass trials *. Let's warm up for the new season with heaps of fun!

Points to note

1. Confirmation slip with the event reference code will be sent to your registered email on or before 21 August, 2023 (Monday).

2. Your selected event date and dining venue could not be changed upon submission of your Registration Form.

3. The Club will allocate date and table according to the priority of choices indicated in “Preferred Date” and “Dining Venue” and subject to the availability at the time of your registration.

4. Please note that Owners are not guaranteed to allocate on a table and the date with their preferred options.

5. Table changes could not be made on the event day.

6. If the event is full, the reservations will be put on a waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis according to the reservation time.

7. In the case of overwhelming response, the registration period may close earlier.

8. There are game booths in the water zone, please prepare swimming suits, dry clothes and towels. No shower facilities are available at the event venue.

9. Car parking spaces will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

10. Each Owner can bring up to 3 guests. Extra guests will not be entertained.

11. A late cancellation or no-show charge of HK$450 per head will be applied if you:

12. The Pre-season Carnival will be cancelled if Red/Black Rainstorm Signal OR Storm Warning Signal No. 3 or above is hoisted at or after 9:00 am on the event date. Owners and guests can check the latest arrangement at in the Club’s website.

13. The Club may use images of you and your guests taken during the event for promotional and/or record purposes. Such use includes the display, distributions, publications, transmissions or otherwise use of photographs, images taken for use in materials that include, but may not be limited to, printed materials such as The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Members monthly magazine badges, Brochures, Newsletters, Videos and digital images used in The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Website and Social Media Pages, such as Facebook and for promotion of The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s future events.

14. The Club may take disciplinary actions or such other actions as the Club considers necessary against those who fail to comply with these Conditions or Entry to Club Premises.

15. The Club reserves the right of revision on all terms and conditions. The program is subject to change without prior notice.

16. In the event of any inconsistency between the Chinese version and the English, the English shall prevail.
