This information is intended to help Owners to better understand the livery charges for their horse(s).

The Club has a long-standing commitment to supporting Hong Kong’s racehorse Owners, recognising their investment in high-quality horses is fundamental to Hong Kong’s world-class racing.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club would like to update Owners that as a result of Television Broadcasts Limited’s (TVB) new channels arrangement approved by the Communications Authority, with effect from 22 April 2024, TVB Finance, Sports and Information Channel (“FSI”) (Channel 85) will cease operation and all racing programmes and Mark Six draws currently aired on FSI (Channel 85) will be broadcast on Channel 82 (to be renamed as TVB Plus). The horse racing live programme Trackside will continue to provide Nicam services.

To further enhance the arrival experience for Members and guests at the Sha Tin Racecourse, the current Members Main Entrance (MME) will undergo renovation starting from late February 2024. The renovation will include a new iconic canopy standing in front of the Grandstand, allowing for a private car drop-off area under a weather-proof environment.

Starting from Sunday, 19 November 2023, the following improvement measures will be effective:

The Owners Lounge 1/F at Grandstand II, Happy Valley Racecourse is now open. Providing tables for two, the new Owners Lounge 1/F features simple Chinese a la cart menu with comfortable seating in a relaxing and cozy ambience.

As the Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 will be hoisted overnight and Super Typhoon Saola will be closest to Hong Kong from Friday (1 Sep) until the early hours of Saturday (2 Sep), The Hong Kong Jockey Club announces that, after considering the weekend’s uncertain weather conditions and the importance of public safety, the Pre-season Carnivals scheduled on Saturday (2 Sep) and Sunday (3 Sep) have been cancelled.

Take your privileged place at the reimagined Owners Box 2/F at Members Stand I, Happy Valley Racecourse. Reopening on Wednesday, 13th September 2023, the transformed Owners Box 2 provides tables for two to twelve people, and a semi private space (8 seats) for reservation, complete with new surrounds and upgraded wagering facilities. Owners can enjoy an elevated dining experience with new menus on offer. For instance, Owners Box 2 savors Chinese À La Carte menu or a six-course Chinese set menu. We look forward to welcoming back Owners and their guests.

We are pleased to inform you that Stable Visit at Sha Tin is now extended to all days except race days.

The renovation of Owners Box 6/F (Section 3) at Grandstand I, Sha Tin Racecourse is now complete. Reopening on Sunday, 4 December, Owners Box provides tables for four and 10 persons and three modern private rooms (seats 12 to 24 per room) for reservation, complete with sleek, new furniture and flooring. Furthermore, the repositioned entrance creates a more spacious foyer for easier access. Owners can enjoy a refreshed dining experience with new set menus on offer. For instance, Owners Box savours a five-course Chinese set menu, or book a private room to opt for a six-course Chinese set menu or a semi-buffet. We look forward to welcoming back Owners and their guests.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club launches a range of technology enhancement and strive for sustainable development progressively. With the commitment to bring Owners’ convenience and to provide better service, the Club is now strengthening the use of online communication channels, which will gradually be the main communication channel with Owners.
