On racedays
On racedays, the P1 Car Park will be accessible by eligible users. Those with valid raceday RFID labels will be automatically granted access at the entrance and eligible Members with electric cars may park at the EV charger lots. (A digital direct mailer on parking eligibility on racedays will be sent to Members separately this week.) Members who confirm their raceday table reservations at short notice will be issued with electronic QR codes for collecting a one-day parking label at the entrance.
New raceday drop-off arrangements
Private car passengers can continue to alight at the Members Main Entrance on racedays. Guest badges will be available for collection at the current Badge Office counter. With the opening of the P1 Car Park, taxis heading to Member areas will be diverted to the dedicated taxi drop-off and pick-up area on the first floor of the P1 Car Park. Guests of Members can access the Racecourse’s Members areas via the new footbridge. Raceday badges should be put on before arriving at the footbridge as a new security checkpoint will be set up at the car park end of the footbridge. Taxis carrying passengers for the public stands should continue to use the Grandstand taxi drop-off near the P3 Car Park.
On non-racedays
On non-racedays, vehicles with valid RFID labels may continue to access the P2 Sha Tin Clubhouse Car Park or the designated parking zone in the P1 Car Park. Invited guests or Members without a valid RFID label will be issued with a pass at the security booth at the entrance of P1 Car Park to access parking in a designated zone within the building. Members with electric cars may park at the EV charger lots within the designated zone.
Closure of Sha Tin Clubhouse Multi-Storey Car Park on 2 December
Sha Tin Clubhouse’s Multi-Storey Car Park will cease operations from 11:59pm on Thursday, 1 December and all non-raceday parking will shift to the designated zone in the P1 Car Park as of Friday, 2 December. Guests can reach the Clubhouse via a dedicated pedestrian crossing on the ground floor. The demolition of the Multi-Storey Car Park will begin in January 2023. We aim to keep disruptions to a minimum and ask for your patience as we carry out the work.
