  • Suite 2 - Young Owners and Young Members (aged 44 or below) have priority to reserve eight weeks prior to the race meeting on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is no reservation, the box will be released to other Members four weeks prior to the race meeting.
  • Suite 3 and 4 - Members may reserve four weeks prior to the race meeting on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Private boxes require reservations and will be allocated four weeks or eight weeks prior to the race meeting on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Private boxes/ Private rooms require reservation and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis 4 weeks or 8 weeks prior to the race meeting.
Confirmation
  • The confirmation dates for Private Boxes or Private Rooms reservations may vary.
  • Each successful applicant must confirm in writing to the Catering & Events Office and state whether or not the offer of a private box is accepted.
  • 30% deposit is required for Members' booking with minimum food & beverage charge of $30,000 or above. Deposit will be waived for reservations with a minimum food & beverage charge less than $30,000. Only membership card will be accepted for deposit payment.

  • Cancellation can be made in writing or calling in. Cancellation fees are shown below:

  • The Private Box or Private Room must be used by the Member who has been allocated the box or room and his/her guests only. The right to use a Private Box or Private Room is non-transferable.
Guest Badges and Car Park Labels
  • Guest badges and car park labels are available two weeks before the race meeting at the Members Services Centre, G/F Jockey Club Headquarters, 1 Sports Road, Happy Valley or the Reception Counter on G/F of Sha Tin Clubhouse. Your representative should present the catering arrangement form of the Private Boxes or Private Rooms booking in order to collect the guest badges and car park labels.
  • Alternatively, the guest badges and car park labels can be sent by courier to your designated locations. The cost of the guest badges purchased and courier fee will be debited to your Membership account. Guest badges can also be picked up at Badge Office on the event date.
Catering Services
  • All catering arrangements must be made through the Catering & Events Office by calling 2966 8568 / 2966 5895.
Settlement of Charges
  • Minimum catering charge applies to Private Boxes or Private Rooms
  • All outstanding charges must be settled by the Member who made the booking on the day of the function in person.

No Smoking Arrangement
  • The Smoking (Public Health) Ordinance (cap.371) was introduced from 1 January 2007. All indoor areas within the Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses are designated no smoking areas (including electronic cigarette). These areas include boxes, restaurants, betting lounges and halls, toilets, lift lobbies, staircases and escalators.
  • Smoking (including electronic cigarette) is permitted in the open areas such as forecourts, Racecourse MTR concourse, balconies/terraces. However, the following areas are exceptions:
    • Balcony near the entrance of MB7 Members Box 7/F (Winning Post), Members Stand II, Happy Valley Racecourse
    • Designated balcony at Loges, Members Stand II, Happy Valley Racecourse
    • Designated balcony at 6/F and 7/F, Members Stand I, Happy Valley Racecourse
    • Designated balcony at Loges, Grandstand I, Sha Tin Racecourse

  • Reservations can be made starting 8 weeks in advance, and up to 2 working days prior to the race meeting. Please call 2966 1288 during office hours or email to banquet@hkjc.org.hk to make your reservations.
    • Mondays to Fridays: 9:00am to 6:00pm
    • Saturdays: 9:00am to 1:00pm
  • You will receive a written confirmation from the Club for the reservations made.
